Leyton Coronation Square
As part of the Leyton Coronation Square project, Waltham Forest Council is exploring the potential to redevelop Ive Farm and The Score Centre as part of a new residential area, to complement proposed development on the Bywaters waste site.
Please click here for a map of these sites.
The Score Centre and Ive Farm sit in a new Greater London Authority (GLA) Housing Zone – Blackhorse Lane and Northern Olympic Park Housing Zone. An opportunity to create 2,500 new homes in this area over the next five years has been identified, alongside new sporting, community and leisure facilities.
In 2015 a study highlighted the opportunity to redevelop all these sites and link Leyton town centre through Coronation Gardens to a new residential quarter.
The proposals include replacing The Score Centre with a new and improved sports and leisure facility at the heart of the new residential area which will have good access to Lea Valley and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Informing & engaging
The Score Centre
In November 2016 we held a second drop-in exhibition to share the Council’s emerging proposals for the Score Centre site, the next steps and how you can be involved. Members of the team were on hand to explain plans and answer any questions.
Thank you to everyone who attended the Leyton Score Centre drop-in exhibitions at the beginning of November. The information boards from the November exhibition are available to view online here.
